Which Stick Is Best For Me ?

There is a wide range of hockey sticks from $50.00 to $500.00, made of wood or carbon fiber, with different flexes, lies, and curves. Here's a guide to help you find the best one:

Flex Range:

20 to over 100 - A general rule of thumb is to choose a flex that is half of your body weight.

Kick Points:

Low - Designed to flex at a lower point along the shaft. This allows the stick to flex, load, and release slightly faster than a mid-kick design. Also, because of the lower kick point on the shaft, full player weight is not required to maximize shot power.

Mid - A mid-kick stick is the most common style used by players. They are designed to assist shooters who heavily lean into their shots by maximizing energy transfer to get the most power in a shot.

High - High kick point hockey sticks are designed for maximum power and accuracy, with the flex point higher up on the shaft.

Hybrid - By positioning the kick point directly between the mid and low points of the shaft, the stick has a quicker load and release than a mid-kick, but is a bit slower than a low-kick. Power generated will be more than a low kick, but still lower than a mid-kick design. (Not produced by all manufacturers)

Curves and Lie :

Each manufacture produces their own curves, lies and toe patterns, heel curve, mid curve or toe curves. For example, Bauer most 3 popular curves P92, P88 & P28, all may feel different when passing or shooting.
